ASU Alert and Advisory System

The safety and security of the campus community is ASU's top priority. The ASU Alert and Advisory messaging system allow us to provide and update critical instructions in an efficient and timely manner.

ASU Alert communicates primarily life-threatening information while ASU Advisory messages are a tier below ASU Alert and typically involve situations that may not be life-threatening and may affect certain areas of a campus.

ASU Alerts and Advisories inform the community of campus emergencies and incidents through a variety of methods, including text messaging – one of the most immediate methods of receiving emergency information.

Mobile numbers on file are automatically added to the ASU Alert and Advisory messaging system.

To provide or verify your mobile number:

1. Sign in to My ASU.
2. Select the "Profile" tab.
3. Locate the "Contact Details" box.
4. View your phone number currently on file with ASU.
5. Click on the "Phone Numbers" link to edit your number.
6. Select "Mobile" as "Phone Type" if your mobile number is on file.
7. If not, click the "Add a Phone Number" button to provide ASU with your mobile number.
8. Click "Save" to add or update.

To modify your ASU Alert and Advisory subscriptions:

1. Sign in to My ASU.
2. Select the "Profile" tab.
3. Locate the "Contact Details" box.
4. Click on the "Update Preferences" link under ASU Alerts and Advisories
5. The ASU Alert portal will open. Click "Subscriptions" on the left.
6. Select the "Manage Subscriptions" tab to select your campus advisories.
7. Click the "Save" when button when you're finished.
