Arena for Fulton Schools of Engineering TPS/CIDSE Students

Arena is discrete event simulation and automation software. It uses the SIMAN processor and simulation language. Arena access is controlled by the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering (FSE) course registration and is licensed for The Polytechnic School (TPS)/Computing, Informatics, Decision Systems Engineering (CIDSE) academic purposes only.

Download Arena:

  1. Open your internet Browser and go to MyApps.
  2. Search for Arena (TPS) or Arena (CIDSE), respectively.
  3. Download and run the .exe file in order to install Arena.
Please note: For Windows 7 and 8 OS, prior to installation please download and install the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.

Following initial installation:

  1. Launch FactoryTalk Activation Manager.
  2. Navigate to the Manage Activations tab.
  3. Choose the Find Available Activations section and select Update Activations Search Path.

  1. In the new window choose either 27024@enservices2.fulton.ad.asu.edu for TPS, or 27010@enlm1.fulton.ad.asu.edu for CIDSE, and then select Save.

  1. Select Refresh Activations on the bottom of the window.
  2. Navigate to Borrow Activations within the same Manage Activations tab and select Arena 15, then click Set Borrow Term.

  1. Select the Days radio button and specify 90, then click on Borrow Activations and close FactoryTalk.

  1. Launch Arena to make sure it launches properly without a message indicating that you are using a training/evaluation version.
