As a non-degree student, how many credits am I allowed to take per semester?

Information

Non-degree seeking graduate students may not exceed the maximum allowed credits for any combination of sessions.    

  • Fall/Spring Semesters - 18 credits for any session combination.
    • C session: 18 credits maximum.
    • A/B sessions: 9 credits maximum in each session.
  • Summer Semester - 14 credits maximum for any session combination. 
    • C session: 14 credits maximum.
    • A/B sessions: 7 credits maximum in each session.

If additional credits are required for completing a course, such as labs, please email grad-gps@asu.edu to request a credit limit override.
