The
Interdisciplinary Studies major offers you the freedom to
select two concentration areas from a menu of more than 140 possibilities. You integrate those two areas into a degree with an interdisciplinary focus, intellectual connection, and practical value. The core curriculum provides you the intellectual tools needed to integrate your concentration areas, engage in interdisciplinary problem solving and prepare for careers and graduate programs that increasingly cross multiple subject areas. In BIS 401, you develop a capstone
applied experience (usually an internship) that melds your concentrations, giving you practical experience that aligns directly with your interests.
