Not every school can certify enrollment for GI Bill® or other VA education benefits. To participate in VA education benefit programs, a school must have the appropriate approvals for the programs it offers.
VA approval applies to specific educational programs and locations rather than to an institution as a whole. This means a school may be approved to certify enrollment for some programs while others are not eligible for VA education benefits.
When you enroll in an approved program at a VA-approved school, the school can certify your enrollment to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The VA then determines your eligibility and processes your education benefits.
Before you plan to use your GI Bill® benefits, verify that both your school and your specific program are approved for the VA education benefit you intend to use.
