Can My Parent Cancel Their Parent PLUS Loan After They Have Applied?

« Go Back
Information
Yes, your parent can cancel their Parent PLUS loan after they have applied. The necessary actions differ depending on if the Parent PLUS loan has disbursed (i.e., paid out).
  • You (the student) submit a Parent PLUS Loan Action Request. This step will initiate a Parent PLUS Loan Action Form on your parent’s My ASU guest access.
  • Your parent submits the Parent PLUS Loan Action Form from their My ASU guest access. The form will be located under Finance Tasks.
Please note: if the Parent PLUS Loan has already disbursed, then cancelling it will result in a balance on your My ASU.
