While living on campus is not required for an incoming freshman, the rate of student success and persistence is higher when students have the opportunity to participate in living in a campus community environment.
ASU Financial Aid and Scholarship Services will reflect your budget and award as living on-campus as long as you confirm your housing by June 1 for your housing assignment to be finalized by Aug. 1. If your housing assignment is not finalized by Aug. 1, your budget will be reduced to a commuter budget and your awards will be adjusted accordingly.
Your first year ASU Promise Plus Scholars funding is based on your housing status:
- If you live on campus: Your ASU Promise Plus Scholars funding will cover a portion of your on-campus housing and meal costs.
- If you live with your parents: The ASU Promise Plus Scholars Program does not cover housing costs for students living with their parents.
- If you live off campus: The ASU Promise Plus Scholars Program does not cover housing costs for students living off campus.
