Information

Thank you for contacting Learner Success at ASU Universal Learner Courses. Below is an overview of the Earned Admissions (EA) program:

1. What is Earned Admissions?

Earned Admissions is an alternate pathway into Arizona State University (ASU) for students who applied to ASU but were not initially admitted. To be eligible, you must first submit an application to ASU.

  • If you applied to an on-campus program and were not admitted, you will need to reapply to ASU Online.

  • Your MyASU portal is where you will check your application status and receive your Earned Admissions offer.

2. EA Program Requirements

Course Requirements:

  • Age 22 or older: 12 credits

  • Under the age of 22: 24 credits

Academic Requirements:

  • Minimum grade: C or higher in each course

  • Minimum GPA: 2.75 overall*

*Some majors (e.g., Business/Engineering) may have additional requirements.

Students are assigned an Earned Admissions coach to help with course selection, major planning, and academic support. Contact details are available in the Earned Admissions dashboard.

Once all requirements are met, admission is determined based on the original ASU application.

3. Costs & Enrollment

  • Course enrollment: $25 per course

  • Transcript fee: $400 per course (paid only if you choose to add the course to your ASU transcript)

Important Notes:

Next Steps:
