Financial Hold Blocking Registration

« Go Back
Information

Students with a past due balance of $3,000.01 are blocked from adding courses or enrolling in future terms. Students will see "Enrollment Hold" in the Financing Tasks box in My ASU > Finances.  Students can view their balance due in the Charge summary box, select the dropdown arrow to view description of charge, term of charge, due date and amount of each charge. Once aid is applied or the student makes payment to bring their balance to $3,000.00, this hold will be automatically removed within 12 hours. If the student does not have any other holds preventing enrollment, they can then register for courses.  ASU does not drop students from courses for having a balance greater than $3,000.00 however enrollment in future semesters is blocked.

Students can make payments on My ASU > Finances and select "Pay Bill" in the Charge summary box.  Students will be redirected to QuikPAY in which they can pay with eCheck (free of charge), debit or credit card (2.5% processing fee), international debit or credit card (4.25% processing fee).

If the student has not completed the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), refer students here to complete. If student has declined loans for the current academic year and would like to request they be offered again, they must submit a Student Aid Adjustment form for review. If student has pending aid or aid currently processing to cover charges, they can contact Student Business Services to discuss enrollment options.
