If you listed ASU's Federal School Code (001081) on your FAFSA, the U.S. Department of Education will send your FAFSA information to ASU in
three to five business days. To check the status of your FAFSA, log in to
My ASU and click on the
Finances tab. You can see your FAFSA status in the
Financial Aid and Scholarships box.
You can also check the status of your FAFSA by logging on to the
FAFSA website with your
FSA ID.
Tips:
- If you are a new student, you must have an ASU admission application on file before ASU can begin evaluation of your FAFSA.
- If you have been awarded financial aid and then make a correction to your FAFSA, additional documentation may be requested on My ASU under the Finances tab to verify the changes made.
- If you have been readmitted, have a new ASU ID number and your FAFSA does not show as received on My ASU after five business days, please contact our office.
- If you have been admitted, completed the FAFSA more than five business days ago, and your FAFSA does not show as received on My ASU, your personal information (i.e., name, date of birth or Social Security number) on record with ASU could be incorrect. Incorrect personal information would cause your FAFSA to reflect as not received on My ASU. You can verify your Social Security number and spelling of your name on My ASU under the Profile tab in the Account Details box, or in person at ASU Registrar Services.
You can correct your SSN and date of birth by submitting the
Student Demographic Update Form to ASU Registrar Services. Name changes can be made by submitting the
Application for Student Change of Name Form to ASU Registrar Services.
