How Can I Request to Have the ASU Health Insurance Charge Removed from My Account?

ASU requires that international students have adequate medical and accident insurance coverage.

Only sponsored students with ASU approved sponsor insurance coverage and a valid financial guarantee on file with Student Business Services are exempt from being enrolled in the Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR) Student Health Insurance Plan for the current semester. All other sponsored students are automatically enrolled in and charged for the ABOR Student Health Insurance Plan.

• If your sponsor does not appear on the List of Approved Sponsors and you feel that you should be exempt, send an email to ASU Health Insurance at insurance@asu.edu no later than two weeks after the first day of the semester.
• If your sponsor is on the List of Approved Sponsors and your My ASU Finances tab indicates that you are being billed for insurance, contact Student Business Services no later than two weeks after the first day of the semester.
