Information
Room assignments are made by you when submitting your housing application. The My Housing Portal will guide you through an application process with a variety of features, including the ability to self-assign into a room of your choice. You may also chose to use the roommate matching service to help form roommate pairings and assign both members of a roommate pairing in a room of your choice.

The time frame by which you will have the option to self-assign into a room can vary depending on whether you're a first-year student or an upper-division student, however all self-assigning takes place typically in the first two months of the new calendar year.

Please note: The residence halls usually reach capacity around May 1. Once capacity is full, the self-assign into a room feature is disabled and you will be manually assigned into an eligible room. First-year students are always guaranteed a housing bed space.
