Please follow the steps below to manually configure your Windows 7 PC for use on the Eduroam wireless network.
Note: The AddTrust Certificate Root must be among your OS “Trusted” certificates before you can connect. If needed, ASU Tech Hub can assist you with this operation.
- Click the Windows Start button.
- Open Control Panel.
- Open Network and Sharing Center.
- Select Manage wireless networks from the left side of the screen and select ADD from the window that is now displayed.
- Select Manually create a network profile.
- Fill in the following fields as shown below and select Next.
- If get Successfully added eduroam, select Change connection settings.
- Select the Security tab and make sure the network authentication method is PEAP.
- Select the Settings button.
- Check the Valid Server Certificate checkbox - Select USERTrust RSA Certification Authority checkbox. Under Select Authentication Method verify MS-CHAP2 is selected.

- Click Configure, and un-check Automatically use my Windows logon name and password.
Select Advanced settings - Select Advanced Settings then check the Specify authentication mode: and then select User authentication.
- Select Save Credentials, and enter your ID and password in the ASURITE@asu.edu format. If prompted for a Roaming Identity enter anonymous@asu.edu.
- Note: If you do not provide your ASURITE@asu.edu username and password Eduroam will not be able to authenticate against the ASU.EDU domain.
- While at the ASU campus select eduroam from your available WiFi SSIDs, and connect to verify the configuration works.
