Please follow the steps below to manually configure your Windows 7 PC for use on the Eduroam wireless network.
Note: The AddTrust Certificate Root must be among your OS “Trusted” certificates before you can connect. If needed, ASU Tech Studio can assist you with this operation.
During the eduroam setup, you will be prompted to accept the certificate in order to complete the installation. Please see How Do I Add Certificates to the Trusted Root Certification Authorities Store for a Local Computer?
1. Click the Windows Start button.
2. Open Control Panel.
3. Open Network and Sharing Center.
4. Select Manage wireless networks from the left side of the screen and select ADD from the window that is now displayed.
5. Select Manually create a network profile.
6. Fill in the following fields as shown below and select Next.
7. If get Successfully added eduroam, select Change connection settings.
8. Select the Security tab and make sure the network authentication method is PEAP.
9. Select the Settings button.
10. Check the Valid Server Certificate checkbox - Select USERTrust RSA Certification Authority checkbox. Under Select Authentication Method verify MS-CHAP2 is selected.
11. Click Configure, and un-check Automatically use my Windows logon name and password.

12. Select Advanced Settings then check the Specify authentication mode: and then select User authentication.
13. Select Save Credentials, and enter your ID and password in the ASURITE@asu.edu format. If prompted for a Roaming Identity enter anonymous@asu.edu
Note: If you do not provide your ASURITE@asu.edu username and password Eduroam will not be able to authenticate against the ASU.EDU domain.
14. While at the ASU campus select eduroam from your available WiFi SSIDs, and connect to verify the configuration works.
