How do I apply for a Cap-Gap I-20?

Information

Please keep in mind that cap gap will only extend the status your F-1 record is in on the date the petition is received by USCIS.  Therefore, in order for your employment authorization to be included in the extension, USCIS must receive the petition before your current employment authorization expires.
 

In order to submit a request for a Cap Gap I-20, please do the following:

  1. Go to http://links.asu.edu/eforms
  2. Click on Self-Service Portal and sign in 
  3. The eForm is located under the F-1 Student Services menu on the left
  4. Click on Replacement and Travel I-20 Request
  5. Complete all required information 
  6. Click Submit
