Information
The Arizona Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership (AZ LEAP) is a partnership between ASU and Arizona Commission for Post-secondary Education to provide need-based grants to low-income, undergraduate, Arizona resident students.

Funding

Funding is limited, therefore not all eligible students will receive an award. It is recommended that you submit the FAFSA by January 15 every year. The grant is awarded manually by ASU after the drop/add period each semester. No separate application is required. If selected, you will receive an email notification and the award will appear on your Financing tab of My ASU.

The maximum AZ LEAP award for the academic year is $2,500. However, the average amount awarded for the academic year is $1,000.

Qualifications
  • must be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen
  • must be a resident of Arizona
  • must be enrolled at least half time as an undergraduate student
  • must be eligible for the Federal Pell Grant as determined by the FAFSA
  • must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress as determined by ASU
