How do I apply for the Arizona Foster Youth Award?

Information

How to apply:

  • Go to AzETV portal:

www.ArizonaETV.org

  • Student will be prompted to create an account and then complete application

  • DCS Education Specialist will verify the student’s foster care status and indicates on the portal if the student qualifies for the AZ Tuition Waiver

 

Waiver program grants eligible students:

  • Tuition and mandatory fees after federal, state, private and institutional aid applied

  • Until their 23rd birthday

  • 1st bachelor’s degree only

  • Waiver awarded by semester

  • After first academic year student must complete 30 volunteer service hours annually

 

Students must meet the following:

  • In US foster care on or after their 14th birthday, OR was adopted from US foster care with the adoption finalized after their 14th birthday

  • Arizona resident

  • US citizen or noncitizen who is lawfully present in US

  • Personal assets (bank account, car, home, etc.) are less than $10,000

 

Funding:

  • ASU completes financial need form and submits on portal.  Student must be enrolled and packaged. 

  • Scholarship office posts waiver to student’s account approximately two weeks prior to start of semester
