How do I change my major to education?

If you are interested in changing your major to the field of education, contact Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College Student Services to schedule an appointment with an academic advisor.

When making your appointment, please identify the major in which you are interested:

Early Childhood and Early Childhood Special Education: birth through age 8 or grade 3
Education Exploratory: if you don’t know which age group or what subject you want to teach
Educational Studies: if you do not wish to teach in a traditional classroom
Elementary Education: grades 1-8
Physical Education: grades K-12 (Polytechnic campus only)
Secondary Education: grades 7-12 (specify subject area)
Special Education and Elementary Education: grades K-12 (working with students who have mild to moderate disabilities) and grades 1-8 (general education classrooms)
