How Do I Complete Verification If I Have Amended My Tax Return?

If you have amended (i.e., corrected) your tax return with the IRS, please upload the following documentation:

For 2020-2021:

1. If you used the IRS DRT while completing the 2020-2021 FAFSA you must upload the following:
   •  A signed copy of your 2018 Amended Tax Return (i.e., 1040X) OR a copy of your 2018 Record of Account Transcript.
2. If you did not use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool while completing the 2020-2021 FAFSA, you must upload the following:
   • A signed copy of your 2018 tax return and a signed copy of your 2018 Amended Tax Return (i.e.,1040X), OR
   • A signed copy of your 2018 tax return and a copy of your 2018 Record of Account Transcript.
