Information

As a transfer student, you must pay an enrollment deposit of $250 by June 1 if enrolling for the fall term or Dec. 1 if enrolling for the spring term. The enrollment deposit is required in order to register for classes.

Note: You may delay payment of your enrollment deposit until the start of your first semester only if you are an Arizona resident with a Free Application for Federal Student Aid on file.

File your FAFSA at fafsa.gov. View the residency requirements at students.asu.edu/residency.

You may initiate the delay of payment by signing in to My ASU and clicking on Pay Enrollment Deposit in the Priority Tasks box. If you are eligible to delay, a link to request a delay of payment will be available in your Pay Enrollment Deposit Priority Task. Please be aware that if your financial aid is not enough to cover your first semester charges, including the delayed enrollment deposit, you are responsible for paying the remaining charges by the applicable due date.

Nonresident (out-of-state) and international students must pay the enrollment deposit out of pocket. Payments may be made by any of the following methods:

  • Online: Payments online are accepted through My ASU. Under Priority Tasks in My ASU, you will see a task to Pay Your Enrollment Deposit, along with links for the next steps after you pay the deposit. Online payments are preferred and will result in faster processing.

Please note: Only Visa and MasterCard debit and credit cards are accepted when paying online.

  • By mail: Checks made out to “Arizona State University” can be sent to: ASU Admission Services, PO Box 871004, Tempe, AZ 85287-1004. Please include your 10-digit student ID number (EMPLID) in the memo line.
  • In person: Cash and check payments are accepted. Make payment at the Cashiering Services office on the second floor of the Student Services Building and bring receipt to Admission Services’ first floor window, room 150. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
