How Do I Get a FSA ID?

You can create an FSA ID when logging into certain U.S. Department of Education websites:

• Free Application for Federal Student Aid
• National Student Loan Data System
• StudentLoans.gov
• Agreement to Serve
• My Federal Student Aid

Follow the steps below to create your FSA ID:

1. From any website listed above, click create an account.  
2. To create a new account, click get started.  
3. Enter your personal information. Provide your Social Security number, full name and date of birth. Then, click continue.
4. Enter your account information.
5. Enter your contact information.
6. Choose your communication preferences.
7. Create your challenge questions.
8. Confirm and verify your information.
9. Enable two-step verification.
