Space Override - You can request a space override by completing the online form on the CISA website cisa.asu.edu/override-request.  Before you submit the form, you should do the following:
  • Make sure that the course is offered through CISA and not another ASU college. View the full course description in the ASU Class Search and the college appears under the "Offered by" heading, just below the "Reserved Seat Information" section.
  • Get approval from the instructor to enroll in their section of the course. (An email from the instructor is fine.) You will attach their approval to the Override Request form when you submit it.
Once you have completed these items, you can submit your request.

Course Override - If you do not meet the prerequisites for a course, you can submit a Course Override form on the CISA website at cisa.asu.edu/override-request. These kinds of overrides are only considered under special circumstances and may require a CISA Standards Petition in addition to instructor permission.

If you have additional questions, get in touch with the advising call center at 480-965-4464 or email CISAAdvising@asu.edu.
