You must meet the following minimum criteria to be eligible for most federal, state and institutional funding:
- You must meet eligibility requirements set by the U.S. Department of Education.
- You must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid for the current academic year.
- You must be registered with the Selective Service Administration, if required by law.
- You must not be in default (i.e., failure to make a loan payment for 270 days) on any of your prior student loans.
- You must not owe a repayment on any Title IV financial aid.
- You must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress.
- You must submit all requested documents and those documents must not be found to limit your eligibility.

- You must be admitted as a degree-seeking student to a qualified undergraduate, postbaccalaureate, graduate or eligible certificate program.
