In order for your ASU merit scholarship to be renewed at 100%, you must:
- earn 30 ASU credits in one academic year
- earn an ASU cumulative GPA of 3.00
If you do not meet the renewal criteria by the end of each spring semester, you have several options to regain eligibility.
A) The
Scholarship Maintenance Plan will allow you to retain a portion of your scholarship while you work to improve your GPA and earn the required credit hours.
B) Take summer classes to improve your GPA and achieve 30 credit hours for the year. If, at the end of the summer semester your total ASU credits for the previous fall, spring and summer total 30 credit hours and your GPA is 3.00, you can regain your scholarship eligibility.
C) A
scholarship appeal is available if you are unable to attend summer classes to meet criteria
AND you experienced significant, extenuating circumstances beyond your control such as an extended, serious medical emergency. Completed appeals must be submitted by no later than
August 1 each year.
If your appeal is denied or if you do not meet renewal criteria after summer coursework, your scholarship will not be reinstated for the academic year.
