How do I request an override for a graduate design course?

« Go Back
Information
How do I request an override for a graduate design course (AAD, ADE, ALA, ANP, APH, ARP, ATE, DSC, EDS, GRA, IND, INT, LAP, LDE, LPH, LTC prefix)?
  1. Email the instructor of the course requesting permission to take the course.
  2. If the instructor approves enrollment in the course, forward the instructor’s email to gradmail@asu.edu to request an override. Your request must include your name and your student ID, as well as the course prefix and number, title and five-digit class number (found in the first column of the schedule of classes).
  3. A graduate coordinator from The Design School will process the override and send you an email letting you know the override has been processed.
  4. After the override has been processed, add the course to your schedule via your My ASU account or through University Registrar Services.
