How do I search for The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences electives?

There are two different types of electives and the search process differs depending on the type of elective you are looking for.

If you are looking for an elective in the ASU general studies categories you you can use the advanced search button on the class search page. Next go to the General Studies pull down arrow and select the category of general studies you want to search. This will then show you all the courses available during the semester selected that would fulfill that category.

If you are looking for any elective course it would be helpful for you to have a general idea of what subject area you would like to view available courses. In this case you would just enter the three letter subject code and select the search icon.

If you want to pursue any available courses you could select the advanced search button and select any of the categories. For example, under college/school you could select Liberal Arts and Sciences and the search will show you all of The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences courses. Typically you would want to narrow your search so the list is not so overwhelming. You will need to check the course to ensure you meet the appropriate enrollment requirements to take the course.
