How Does the Border Spam Filter Work?

Information

When email comes in for any @asu.edu email address, it is scanned and scored. High probability spam is filtered out at the border (where all the email first comes into our network), and mail that is not high probability is sent on to the destination. Most email clients haveĀ further filtering, which will determine if a mail item should be delivered into the Junk Email folder or into the Inbox.
