How Long Does It Take to Close the Task in My ASU After My Parent Completes the Parent PLUS Loan MPN?

Once your parent accepts the Parent PLUS Loan, it takes three to five business days to determine if the loan has been credit approved. Your parent will receive approval or denial information in the mail within two weeks.

After the PLUS Loan has been credit approved and your parent completes the Parent PLUS Loan Master Promissory Note online, ASU will receive electronic confirmation of the PLUS MPN completion within three to five business days and show as completed on My ASU.

Tips:

• The entire PLUS MPN process must be completed in a single session.
• The parent that accepted the PLUS Loan is the only parent that can complete the PLUS MPN. 
• Use legal names only (never use nicknames).
• The name used to complete the Parent PLUS process should be the same name on the PLUS MPN.
• Incorrect spelling of names, wrong dates of birth or wrong Social Security numbers will cause the PLUS MPN to not link to the credit approved PLUS Loan.
