Accessing ALEKS Mathematics Placement Assessment
You must always access your ALEKS Mathematics Placement Assessment through ALEKS. You should never "manually launch" the browser for ALEKS; it has an auto-launch feature. That means you do not need a URL for the installation, it's embedded within ALEKS.
Note: If you have any issues, please reference the FAQ's listed here.
To access ALEKS Mathematics Placement Assessment using Respondus LockDown Browser, perform the following steps:
- Log into ALEKS using your preferred web browser.
Note: There is a tutorial available for students to view upon logging into ALEKS - Open the assessment from ALEKS
- Download / Install the ALEKS version of Respondus LockDown Browser (just the first time)
Note: Even if you have previously downloaded Lockdown Browser for a course or assignment, you will still need to download this version as it is unique to ALEKS Placement Assessment. - Launch the browser (and the test) from within your preferred web browser.
- ALEKS will prompt you to enter a proctor password. The password is ARIZONASTATE1.
Note: Once you are ready to take the exam, do so by clicking on the link titled "ALEKS Placement Assessment." You will then have 2 hours to complete the test.
