To receive the
Arizona Foster Youth Award, you must first be enrolled in classes at ASU. You must also verify lawful presence as described under
Arizona's Proposition 300. Once you are enrolled and your lawful presence has been verified, the award will disburse to your account
no sooner than five days before classes begin.The Arizona Foster Youth Award
only covers remaining tuition and mandatory fees after all other awarded funds from federal, public and institutional grants and scholarships (including, but not limited to, the Federal Pell Grant, the ASU College Attainment Grant and the Obama Scholarship) have been applied to your account. If your tuition and fees are 100% covered by the other awards, you will NOT see an Arizona Foster Youth Award applied to your account.
Note: The only federal grant that will NOT be counted toward your tuition and fees prior to applying the Arizona Foster Youth Award, is the
Arizona Education and Training Voucher. If you meet eligibility criteria, you may apply for the ETV, but funding is limited and not all applicants will be awarded.
If you are offered multiple awards that cover tuition and fees, you cannot receive more than 100% of the cost of tuition. Estimate your tuition and mandatory fees with
