Information
The vast majority of students will be able to take their classes remotely if needed.

Most classes will include ASU Sync as an attendance modality. Students who cannot be on campus due to health concerns or travel restrictions may attend the entire semester remotely through ASU Sync and by taking iCourses. Please inform your professor if you anticipate that you will not attend any class in-person.

A small number of classes including labs, performance and studio classes may only be offered in-person. These classes will be marked in My ASU with a note that reads, “In-person only.” If you cannot be on campus this fall, please speak with your academic advisor for guidance in the rare situation where your fall semester schedule includes a class that requires in-person attendance.

Finally, some labs, performance and studios may be taken remotely only if the students have the necessary equipment in their remote locations. Examples include musical instruments, sewing machines or specific kitchen facilities. These classes will have a note that reads, “Remote learning requires specialized equipment. Contact the instructor for information on the necessary equipment.”
