Living in a residential college community allows you to connect with members of the Residential Life team. Residential Life staff include both student and professional team members who serve as your first line of engagement and support at ASU. Get to know the staff in your community to connect with university resources and discover ways to get involved.
Each residence hall community has one or more of the following staff members to support your success:
**Community Assistant (CA)** is a student paraprofessional who lives in the residence hall and serves as one of your first peer role models. Community Assistants help build community, connect residents with campus resources, and support students throughout their residential experience.
**Residential College Student Leaders **may also be available to connect you with your academic college by providing opportunities to engage with academic support resources, programs, and activities.
**Community Director** is a live-in professional who has completed a master's degree and supervises the Community Assistants. Community Directors support students as they transition to ASU and can assist with navigating academic resources, addressing roommate conflicts, connecting to campus support services, and other aspects of the residential experience.
Each residential college also has an **Area Director** who provides leadership for the Residential Life team within the community. Area Directors work closely with college leadership and campus partners to help ensure your residential college experience is engaging, supportive, and memorable.
