Living in a residential college community allows you to connect with members of the residential life team. Residential life staff include both student and professional staff who serve as your first line of engagement and support at ASU. Get to know the staff on your floor to connect to university resources find ways to get involved.
Each residence hall community has one the following staff support:

Community Assistant or Community Mentor is a student paraprofessional that lives on the floor with residents and serves as one of your first peer-to-peer student role-models.

Peer Mentors, Peer Ambassadors or other College Peer staff assist with the connection to your academic college offering opportunities to engage in academic support resources, programs and activities.

Community Director is a live-in professional who has completed his/her master's degree and who supervises the community assistants and community mentors. Community Directors will connect with you and assist you in your transition to ASU. Some examples of things they might help you with include: navigating academic resources, attending to roommate conflicts, and assisting with personal transition items.
Each residential college also has an assistant or associate director of housing that provides comprehensive leadership to the residential life team in your residential college community. In addition, assistant and associate directors work closely with college administrative staff to help make sure your residential college experience is positive and memorable.
