What GPA or test scores do you need for first-year admission to ASU?

You generally qualify for first-year admission to Arizona State University by meeting at least one of the following academic qualifications:

• You graduate in the top 25% of your high school graduating class.
• You earn a 3.00 GPA in the required high school competency courses.
• You earn a composite ACT score of 22 or higher (24 or higher for nonresidents).
• You earn a SAT score of 1040 or higher (1110 or higher for nonresidents).

Meeting one of these qualifications helps establish your eligibility for admission. However, some ASU degree programs have more competitive admission requirements and may require a higher GPA, higher test scores, or additional admission criteria.
