Speech and Hearing Science offers a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant certificate. This program prepares students who have majored or are majoring in Speech and Hearing Science to be eligible for the Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Licensure, in order to work as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant under the direction of a Speech-Language Pathologist.
The program is designed to be completed during a student's last two semesters of undergraduate coursework. Students who have completed at least 9 credits in speech and hearing science coursework with at least a 2.75 grade point average in those courses are eligible to apply.
A supplemental application is required for this certificate. Admission is limited because of placement capacity for the required internship experience. See the supplemental application for more information on the application process and deadlines.
