What are the Barrett enrollment options?

« Go Back
Information

There are three Barrett Honors College enrollment options, each featuring a distinctive curriculum with unique application deadlines and eligibility requirements: Lower Division, Upper Division, and Barrett Online.

Lower Division is a 4-year honors experience at the ASU Downtown, Polytechnic, Tempe, and West Valley campuses in the metro Phoenix area. Current high school seniors who will be incoming first-year ASU students at one of those four campus locations always apply for Barrett Lower Division consideration, regardless of AP/IB/dual enrollment/etc. credits.

Upper Division is a 2-year honors experience available to undergraduate students studying at one of the four ASU locations in Phoenix. Transfer students and currently enrolled ASU students tend to join Barrett via the Upper Division enrollment option.

Barrett Online is the only honors college option for students pursuing an ASU Online undergraduate degree program. Lower Division and Upper Division are not relevant for ASU Online students interested in Barrett.
