What are the prerequisites to start the Interdisciplinary Studies major core courses?

If you are interested in taking one of the IDS core courses, some courses may have prerequisites:
  • IDS 201: Intellectual Fusion -  Students from any program may enroll and there are no prerequisites. 
  • IDS 301: Becoming Interdisciplinary - Limited to Interdisciplinary Studies or Interdisciplinary Studies (Organizational Studies) majors, or Visiting University Students. 
  • IDS 302: Interdisciplinary Inquiry Skills - This course is for Interdisciplinary Studies or Interdisciplinary Studies (Organizational Studies)  majors, who have completed IDS 201 or 301 with grade of C or better, or if you have Visiting University Student status.
  • IDS 401: Experiential Learning - Students who are Interdisciplinary Studies or Interdisciplinary Studies (Organizational Studies) majors and have completed IDS 201 or 301 with grade of C or better; IDS 302 with a C or higher; and you have a minimum 2.00 GPA are eligible for this course. Enrollment in the IDS 310 to 316 Context courses is an option for students in any ASU major who have completed at least 45 credit hours of coursework, or for students who have Visiting University Student status.
