Information
The On Track or Off Track status refers to whether your making adequate progress towards completion of your bachelor’s degree.

Being On Track means that you have completed, or are in enrolled in, the required critical requirements outlined on your major map.

You may be Off Track if you:
  • Drop or don’t register for a course defined as a critical requirement on your major map
  • Don’t meet the minimum course grade as defined on your major map
  • Don’t meet the overall university, college, or major GPA requirement as defined on your major map
  • Don’t meet a milestone on your major map
  • Are a new freshman with Advanced Placement (AP) credit that hasn’t posted for a critical course
  • Completed a critical course at another school and have not yet had the transcript sent to ASU
If you are Off Track, you should meet with your academic advisor to understand your options and make a plan to get back On Track quickly.  If you are Off Track in two consecutive semesters, you may be required to change your major for not making adequate progress in your degree program.

If you believe that your Off Track status is an error, please contact your academic advisor.

Question: What does it mean if I’m Off Track for Graduation?

Answer: You may be Off Track for Graduation if you drop or don’t register for a course defined as a necessary course on your major map.  Necessary courses are in terms 5-8 of your major map.  If you are Off Track for Graduation, you may not be making timely progress towards completion of your degree requirements in 8 terms.  Meet with your academic advisor to understand your options and make a plan to get back on track quickly.
