Financial aid is awarded to you with the expectation that you will enroll, attend and participate in your classes for the entire term. Participation in your classes is critical to your academic success and your eligibility for financial aid. If you do not participate in a class and do not withdraw, you will receive a failing grade.
Federal and institutional rules require ASU to review your financial aid eligibility if you receive any
EN (Failure Due to Never Participating) grades. Receiving one or more
EN grade results in an adjustment to your federal and institutional financial aid.
Receiving ALL grades of
EN results in a cancellation of ALL federal and institutional financial aid for that term or session. Any adjustment or cancellation to your financial aid for
EN grades results in a bill on your student account for the amount of financial aid that is being returned to the programs.
Remember: Grades of
EN affect your financial aid
Satisfactory Academic Progress.
EN grades are counted as hours attempted and not completed, so they will negatively affect your Pace Rate. You must pass at least
67 percent of the courses you attempt to remain eligible for federal and institutional financial aid. Pace Rate is measured annually after spring term.
