What if I have an in-person defense and one of my committee members cannot physically attend my thesis or dissertation defense?

Please contact your graduate staff advisor for assistance with making arrangements for a committee substitution. Keep in mind that the committee member may have the option of attending the defense remotely via videoconference, as long as the chair or co-chair and at least 50% of the committee is physically present.
