What is FSEOG?

« Go Back
Information
Funded by the federal government, the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant is available in limited amounts each year. Students must be eligible for the Federal Pell Grant in order to be considered.

You will be given priority consideration if you meet the following criteria:
  • You are an eligible undergraduate student seeking your first bachelor's degree.
  • You have completed your FAFSA by January 15 for the following academic year.
  • You submit all requested documents listed on My ASU Financing Tasks within a few weeks of being requested.
  • You demonstrate significant financial need.
Please note the following:
  • Receiving FSEOG in a prior year does not guarantee future FSEOG offers. Your eligibility is evaluated each year based on the information included on your FAFSA, as well as available funding at the time you are offered financial aid.
  • FSEOG is generally not offered after you have earned more than 120 credit hours
