An Institutional Recommendation, also known as (IR), is:
A verification of your program completion at ASU that you can use to apply for your teacher or administrator certification at the Arizona Department of Education (ADE).
Your IR verifies that you completed an approved Arizona State Board of Education teacher preparation program and is sent directly from MLFTC to the ADE on your behalf.
A time saver. If you use an IR, you will not need to submit an official transcript to the Arizona Department of Education for course-by-course evaluation.
A money saver. It saves you money when you apply for your certification by decreasing the fee amount paid to ADE.
If you are an Arizona Teachers Academy financial-aid recipient, the cost of your Arizona Certificate application is waived.
