Information
Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College offers two options for a 4+1 program. A 4+1 program allows you to complete 12 credit hours of graduate level coursework while working on your bachelors degree. Upon completion of your bachelors degree and the 12 aforementioned graduate credit hours, you complete one additional year of graduate coursework to receive your master’s degree.

The first 4+1 program option combines a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies with a Master of Arts in Learning Sciences creating an accelerated option for students who aspire to work in diverse non-profit, government organizations, and private educational settings and earn a bachelors and master’s degree in five years.

The second 4+1 program option combines a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies with a Master of Arts in Educational Policy creating an accelerated option for students who desire to train in education policy and applied data analysis and earn a bachelors and master’s degree in five years. It is particularly well suited for individuals whose careers require the use and interpretation of data, such as overseeing assessments or conducting program evaluations. Classroom teachers will gain a new perspective on their schools, classrooms, and teaching with the skills they develop in the degree program.

Please contact the Advising Coordinator for the 4+1 programs, Raquel Fong, by calling 480-965-5555 or emailing Raquel.Fong@asu.edu for more information on getting started or 602-543-6358 for more information on the Master’s programs.
