The
Arizona Education and Training Voucher is a federally funded grant used to support foster youth who have aged out of the foster care system and who are enrolled in college, university and vocational training programs.
Foster youth may receive up to $5,000 a year based on their
cost of attendance. Foster youth must enroll before their 21st birthday and may continue to receive support until age 23. Funds may be used for tuition, housing, books, student loan repayments and qualified living expenses.
To qualify, you must:
- be in foster care, adopted from foster care after age 16, or aged out of foster care
- be a U.S. citizen or qualified non-citizen
- be younger than 21 if applying for the first time
- have a high school diploma or GED
- have been accepted into or enrolled in a Title IV, accredited college or vocational/technical training program
- have personal assets (bank account, car, home, etc.) of less than $10,000
