The
Transfer Achievement Grant is available for Arizona residents starting Fall 2026 who transfer from any Arizona community college and demonstrate financial need as determined by the
FAFSA. There is
no application for this award.
To be automatically considered, you must submit the following:
- an ASU admission application by Jan 15th or fall and Oct. 1 for spring
- a FAFSA by Jan. 15 for fall and Oct. 1 for spring
- Connect with an ASU transfer representative or enrollment coach to learn more about studying at ASU and get all your questions answered.
ASU’s Transfer Achievement Grant is renewable up to six total semesters (including summer semesters). To continue receiving the scholarship, students must enroll full-time, complete a FAFSA every year that demonstrates continued eligibility and maintain satisfactory academic progress. Students who fall below SAP requirements may submit a SAP review to Financial Aid and Scholarship Services.
Please note: This award is different from the New American University Transfer Scholarship for nonresidents.
The Transfer Achievement Grant is only available to incoming students. Current ASU students are ineligible to be considered for the grant. The following requirements apply to students admitted spring 2026 or earlier:

Must be an Arizona resident for tuition purposes.

Must be a transfer student from an Arizona community college.

Must have a minimum 3.50 cumulative transfer GPA.

Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA.

Must have submitted an ASU admission application, application fee and transcripts from each school attended by Jan. 15 for fall and Oct. 1 for spring.

Must have submitted a FAFSA for the appropriate academic year by Jan. 15 for fall and Oct. 1 for spring.
For those awarded the Transfer Achievement Award in Spring 2026 or earlier, the award can be renewed for a total of four consecutive semesters (excluding summers) by completing 24 ASU credit hours with a 2.50 or higher ASU cumulative GPA and submitting a FAFSA by the above deadlines each year that demonstrates continued financial need.
