Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College offers a
Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and a
Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction: Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Both degrees are offered through ASU Online.
The
ABA program prepares you to use applied behavior analysis to address a variety of learning and behavior needs across a range of professions and settings.
- As a graduate of this program, you may apply your expertise to areas such as behavior problems, autism, learning and instruction, consultation and organization management.
- The program includes a course sequence that meets the Behavior Analyst Certification Board-required 270 classroom hours of graduate-level instruction aligned with the Fourth Edition Task List.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst supervision hours, required for certification, are arranged and completed separately from ASU course work.
If you are not seeking the Master of Education, but are interested only in the pre-approved university course work for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst exam, you may apply to the
Applied Behavior Analysis graduate certificate program.
The
ASD program prepares you to recognize and understand challenges related to autism spectrum disorder and apply evidence-based interventions and supports to assist both children and adults who are affected.
- The program is intended for special and general education teachers, interventionists, paraprofessionals, and parents who want to know more about this disorder and how to effectively assist those with it.
- As a graduate of the program, you will be familiar with the latest autism spectrum disorder research, and have skills to apply interventions within a range of roles and contexts.
