Information
All newly admitted campus immersion first-year students at the Downtown Phoenix, Polytechnic, Tempe and West campuses, and ASU California Center and ASU at Lake Havasu pay a $300 enrollment deposit to ensure a spot in the incoming first-year class. As soon as you have been admitted and have decided to attend Arizona State University, you should submit payment for the enrollment deposit.

Payment of the deposit is the first step in the enrollment process for newly admitted first-year students. The first-year enrollment deposit is required so that you can access the New Student Orientation Experience, secure a Sun Devil ID card and reserve University Housing. Once you pay the deposit, you can confirm your housing and dining preferences in My ASU and register for an Academic Orientation Session. The deposit will be credited as a payment toward your first expenses at ASU, which include the New Student Orientation Experience, obtaining a Sun Devil ID card, submitting University Housing and dining confirmations, and ASU Welcome activities.

Please note: The enrollment deposit is not associated with tuition and related fees, and it will not appear as a credit on your ASU account at a later date.

If you have additional questions, learn more about the first-year enrollment deposit process online or contact the New Student Programs office at 480-965-2880 or by email at orientation@asu.edu.
