What is the process to get an override into a New College course?

Information

New College course override requests do not require an appointment with an academic advisor. Please submit your request via e-mail and include the following:

  • Your full name and student ID#

  • The course you are requesting an override for (ex. CHM 116, class # 12345) (Please note that we cannot process override requests for courses outside of the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences.)

  • Evidence that you have fulfilled the enrollment requirements/pre-requisite(s) for the course in which you are requesting an override. If providing unofficial transcripts as evidence, your name and the final grade you received in the course should be visible. New College will not process overrides if the pre-requisite course is still in progress.
