There are many scholarships available through a variety of sources. It is in your best interest to investigate and apply for all types of scholarship funding.
1. ASU's New American University ScholarshipsASU's New American University Scholars are for highly accomplished students who match the university's quest for academic excellence. No separate application is required other than a complete ASU admission application. Eligibility is based on a combination of official academic transcripts, ACT/SAT test scores and class rank. The
ASU scholarship estimator can help determine the merit scholarship for which you may be eligible. Just enter your core GPA, ACT/SAT test scores and class rank. Your core GPA is based on the grades earned in
core courses required for ASU admission and may be different than your cumulative GPA. Please be aware this is an estimate and may not be an accurate reflection of your actual award.
2. ASU Scholarship SearchASU has a scholarship search where you can find currently open ASU scholarships and private donor scholarships that match your student status (i.e., grade level, residency, etc.). It is constantly updated so you should revisit the search database website every few weeks. Many of these scholarships are offered by private donors so be aware of the individual deadlines and application requirements.
3. ASU Scholarship Application PortalThis online application portal collects your applications for several different scholarships and saves your responses to common questions so that you don't need to complete the information twice. There is no single application that you can complete for all scholarships. You can find a list of scholarships that have portal apps on our scholarship search website. The award amounts, criteria and deadlines vary, however most scholarships are available from
Sept. 1 to Feb. 1 each year. For more information, please visit our
ASU Scholarship Portal frequently asked questions page.
4. ASU College and Departmental ScholarshipsMany academic departments and colleges at ASU offer scholarships. The award amounts, criteria and deadlines vary. Not all colleges and departments award first-year students. To find your academic department or college scholarship website, click
