When Should I Start My Honors Thesis or Creative Project?

We encourage you to start thinking about the thesis or creative project as early as your first academic year. Most students complete the thesis in junior or senior year. You can learn about the thesis by attending thesis workshops, by talking to your honors advisor about the process and by viewing examples of past projects. A thesis topic and director should be solidified the semester before you start the two semester project. You might also consider a Thesis Pathway option.
